The Story Behind the Stitch at walnut + willow

Rooted in the Ozarks, Walnut & Willow is a slow-crafted leather brand built on legacy, artistry, and intention.

Each piece is made by hand by Treva Tompkins, one at a time, in her Missouri studio.

The Heart of the Brand

Strength and softness belong side by side.

Walnut & Willow began as a way to create something lasting, a return to craftsmanship that values patience, precision, and meaning.

Named for the strength of walnut wood and the grace of the willow tree, the brand reflects Treva’s belief that beauty comes from balance.

Every bag is cut, stitched, and finished by hand. Each one carries a number, a story, and the mark of the person who made it.

Meet the Maker

Treva Tompkins is a designer, craftswoman, and storyteller. She started Walnut & Willow in Missouri with a desire to honor traditional craftsmanship while creating something deeply personal.

What began as a love for working with her hands grew into a collection of heirloom-quality leather goods made to be carried, used, and remembered.

Each piece is born from a blend of artistry and authenticity. Timeless design, intentional materials, and countless hours of quiet work.

The Craft

Handcrafted, Numbered, and Built to Last

Every Walnut & Willow piece begins on the workbench. Measured, cut, and stitched by hand using full-grain leather and traditional saddle stitching.

Each bag is individually numbered and protected by a maker's warranty, a promise that the craftsmanship behind it will stand the test of time.

Because true quality isn’t fast. It’s felt.
